About

History of the TWC

The Tiger Wrestling Club was started many years ago by a group of like-minded parents.  Their purpose was to introduce Tipton area youth and teach them the basic skills involved in wrestling.  Over the years, the TWC has grown to as many as 80 members.  It has successfully provided hundreds of young people with hours of physical activity, an opportunity to learn an exciting sport, and a chance to have fun.  It has also produced some excellent wrestlers.  Tipton High School has produced 34 individual conference champions, 52 individual state qualifiers, 21 state place winners, 2 State champions, and one NCAA All-American.  Most were members of the Tiger Wrestling Club.

Purpose of the TWC

1.  Provide youth with basic fundamental knowledge of the sport of wrestling.

2.  Provide a safe, positive environment to learn and practice these skills.

3.  To support the K-12 Tipton wrestling program.
